Why You’ll Love The Session
Often we are tempted to believe we are alone on this journey of training our children up in the Lord. The session gives faithful Missouri families of the church of Christ, that are striving to homeschool their children an opportunity to connect, be encouraged, and re-energize. Wonderful friendships, an important network of like-minded families, and cherished memories are the result of the few days spent together.
Our History
Our camp session began in 2014. We were unable to hold the session in 2019 or 2020. However, each year our sessions have grown, and include many new homeschooling families across the state. We schedule the sessions in the early fall each year when the temperatures are more favorable and the outdoor colors are beginning to change.
The name of our camp session, Camp Shining Sun is based on Proverbs 4:18. “But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines brighter unto the perfect day.” NKJV
